AI CHALLENGE AI MICROCOURSE
Choose from various learning challenges to show how you have understood the concepts covered in the microcourses.
Whichever microcourses you’ve completed, you will have encountered some new ideas, come across some new concepts and seen some very different uses of AI.
Now, we’d like you to choose from a series of Learning Challenges (or you can make your own) to demonstrate what you have learned.
When you’ve done that, you can post them to the AI EXPLORATORY where others can see your work.
Write a short story that explores one of the ideas you discussed with Hailey. The story should be around 500 words and have have a plot, some characters and a theme you want to explore. An example might be 'A school employs an AI teacher. What happened next?'
Write a review of a movie that features AI (for example Terminator, Blade Runner, Bicentennial Man, I, Robot or Ex Machina). Focus on exploring what idea in AI the movie explores and how successfully it does that. Your review should be around 250 words.
Imagine you are going to develop a TherapyBot to help people who feel unhappy of stressed (like the WoeBot example). Write a simulated dialogue between a person and a bot that you think would be the kind of conversation a human would have with TherapyBot. Make sure you think about any special aspects of the conversation that your dialogue would need to include.
Record a conversation between two people (or find a conversation that has been recorded). Thinking about Grice’s cooperative principles, write a short analysis of how you can see people cooperating when they talk.
Record a 5 minute podcast of you talking about a conversation you have had recently (with your bestie, your parents or with a teacher) and talk about what you would need to do do design a bot to have that conversation.
Use Teachable Machine to build an image classifier for what you think is a really hard problem in image classification.
Write a story in two parts: part 1 (250 words) is about how a deepfake can be used for good; part two (250 words) is about how the same deepfake can be used for evil.
Record a short podcast (5 minutes) interviewing one of your friends about how they would feel if their doctor was an AI. Ask them questions about whether they would trust AI more than a human doctor, and why.
Write a short description an app or service (no more than 300 words) where AI could help people with a medical condition lead a more normal life. Think about what the AI would need to know and how it would collect data.
Using the skills you learned in the Digital People microcourse, create a conversation with your digital person about a topic you are passionate about - just like the one you had with Hailey about Ethics. You should create at least 5 intents, which have one alternative response each.
Using dialogflow, develop a bot that answers questions about your favourite TV show. The bot should be able to engage in a detailed conversation and point users to information on the internet about the show.
Develop a Dialogflow Bot that could be used to fool someone into believing they are interacting with a teenager. Think about what kinds of language your bot would need to use.
MAKE YOUR OWN
You don't have to try and of the Learning Challenges above. You make make up your own.
Remember, though, to explore one of the themes, ideas or concepts we've explored.
Be creative and challenge yourself.
